Michael W. Fooshe, CPA, Principal Broker

Michael W. Fooshe is licensed as a Principal Real Estate Broker and is the owner of Freedom Real Estate Experts, and is also a Certified Public Accountant, owning his own firm, Michael W. Fooshe, CPA. He began his professional accounting career in 1989 and developed a reputation quickly as one who could build solid accounting systems from the ground up by working with professionals from all over the spectrum. Later, he began working with healthcare systems from the largest hospital system in the world through mid-sized multi-specialty physician groups. He developed an uncanny ability to “paratroop” into systems headed for sure bankruptcy, stabilize the “patient,” then find ways to save millions in a short period of time by developing trust with administration and physicians, then executing effective audits that resulted in operational changes and significant improvement to the bottom line.

Michael has lived and worked in Dickson and the Greater Nashville area since 1989. He and his wife Shari have been in the real estate business in some sort or fashion since 1992, whether that be buying and selling homes, renovating, or building from scratch for themselves and others. When Mike was five years old, his parents bought him a carpentry tool kit and he commenced to building a tree house with scraps of lumber lying around in the garage! Ever since, he has had a hammer, saw, tape measure and all that goes with that close by to build the next project. 

Michael’s clients say consistently that they like working with him because he quickly earns trust, something that was invaluable in rescuing failing healthcare organizations. He also goes above and beyond and has been known to show up at a listing client’s house with a zero-turn and a chainsaw to take care of problems after a storm for his clients. How many real estate brokers do that?

Michael resides in Dickson with his wife. He has three daughters, six grandchildren, and loves spending time with family, serving his church, building and renovating homes, and connecting people to opportunities, whether those be realty, financial or personal. Mike also loves hunting, hiking, observing wildlife, cooking outdoors and spending as much time in the woods as possible in this beautiful area we know as Middle Tennessee. Michael serves all of his clients with the heart of a teacher and immensely enjoys serving the financial and real estate needs of clients all over Middle Tennessee and beyond.

Shari Fooshe, Managing Broker

Shari began her real estate career in 2014 as an Affiliate Broker for ERA Real Estate Professionals. In 2017, she passed her broker exam and subsequently competed for and won the ERA International Award for Office Coordinator of the Year, and was presented this award in Las Vegas at the ERA International Business Conference. 

In 2020, Shari and her husband Michael (also a Broker and a CPA), struck out on their own and opened Freedom Real Estate Experts, a different kind of real estate company that puts God at the center of all decisions, and guides all actions on principles of truth and sincerity.

Prior to real estate, Shari founded and directed a Christian preteen regional camp (Camp Tomahawk) for 9 years, worked 5 years for the TN Dept of Environment and Conservation, and home educated all three of her daughters from 1998 – 2017 (all were honor students in college).   

Shari married her college sweetheart, Michael Fooshe, in 1989.  Together they have three daughters, Megan (Rhys), Mariah (Michael), and Marissa.  They also have six grandchildren (three boys – Sage, Gavin and Leo, and three girls — Eden, Sera and Amelia). 

Her personal interests include her church, organizing, teaching and training, public speaking, writing, traveling with her family, the beach, reading, line dancing, roller skating, movies/trivia, anything involving the arts, dinner theater, board games and cats.

Michelle Harris, Affiliate Broker

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Insurance/Risk Management and Finance, Michelle became an insurance professional and worked in several different capacities in that industry. Michelle and her husband began investing in real estate in 2008 with an interest in rehabilitating distressed properties. This sparked her passion for the real estate industry.

Michelle, her husband and their two daughters enjoy the fresh air and friendly pace of the country. On the weekends, Michelle can be found riding ATV’s, UTV’s or off-roading in her Jeep. Being quite the homesteader, she helps to raise beef cattle and chickens, tends to an extensive vegetable garden and preserves the vegetable harvest by canning, and is also a self-taught sewer.

Hi, I’m Angel Duran. I graduated from Dickson County High School in 2024 and recently began my career in real estate. With one year of hands-on construction experience in my family business, I bring a unique, detail-oriented perspective to every property.
Growing up in Dickson has made me feel deeply invested in our neighborhood’s future. I’m excited to help others find their place here or anywhere my clients desire. I believe real estate is more than a transaction—it’s about building a true sense of home and belonging.
